Mister Ortega completed his university studies in Criminal Justice at the John Jay
College of New York University, entering the Puerto Rico Police Department in 1995
and working within the department in the Mounted Division, Office of Police Press,
Intelligence Section, Canine Unit and culminating with his retirement after 24 years
of service within the Police Department as a Homicide Detective.
He was co-founder of a Security Company in Puerto Rico which has been in
existence for more than 12 years.
Mister Ortega-Franceschini currently resides in Orlando Florida, where he
registered and started Special Response Team Security Corp.
He also owns the The Badge Apparel LLC Company, with his own brand of clothing
and other apparel items alluding to the blue line movement in solidarity to the
Police Officers fallen in the line of duty in Puerto Rico and the United States (USA),
helping with a percentage of the earnings of each item sale, to relatives of the
Officers fallen in the line of duty or to Police Officers with an illness, that makes it
impossible for them to work.
